Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh left the sidelines during a game against the Denver Broncos due to an atrial flutter, a heart rhythm issue he has experienced in the past. Harbaugh received medical attention on the sidelines and eventually returned to coaching the game. He explained during a press conference that he has a history of arrhythmia, having undergone ablation procedures in the past. Harbaugh joked that he is now “2-0 with arrhythmias” after experiencing the issue during the game against the Broncos. The incident caused Harbaugh’s brother, Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh, to abruptly leave a postgame press conference when informed about Jim’s health issue. The Harbaugh brothers are known for their close relationship and both have long coaching careers in the NFL. John quickly left the press conference to check on his brother after learning about the situation. The brothers previously faced off as opposing head coaches in a Super Bowl in 2013. Despite the health scare, Jim Harbaugh assured that he was feeling better after receiving treatment and returning to finish coaching the game.
