Activist backed by Trump placed on leave by employer following reports of involvement in gay pornography

Corey DeAngelis, a school privatization activist and Fox News guest, was placed on leave by the American Federation for Children after reports emerged that he appeared in gay pornography videos under the name “Seth Rose.” DeAngelis, known for his work in conservative nonprofits and advocacy for school choice, did not comment on the reports. His appearances on Fox News have often criticized LGBTQ topics in schools, linking them to the need for basic education. Former President Donald Trump endorsed DeAngelis’ book, “The Parent Revolution,” praising him as a fighter for parental rights. DeAngelis’ social media accounts have been inactive since the news broke. Republican vice presidential candidate J.D. Vance and House Speaker Mike Johnson have also supported DeAngelis in his work. Though the American Federation for Children has put DeAngelis on leave while they investigate the matter, the organization’s involvement with Betsy DeVos, its founder, is no longer mentioned on their website. DeAngelis, who has a Ph.D. in education, has been named one of Forbes’ 30 under 30 winners and has a significant following on social media. The controversy over his adult film appearances has raised questions about his advocacy work and public image.
