NASA has announced a new timeline for the Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement (SEWP) VI contract, with a planned release for proposals in the first quarter of fiscal year 2023. The agency has also extended the current SEWP V contract through December 31, 2024, to allow for a smooth transition.
SEWP is a governmentwide acquisition contract that is used by federal agencies to purchase a wide range of IT products and services. The contract has been highly successful, with over $6 billion in sales during fiscal year 2021.
The new timeline for SEWP VI reflects NASA’s commitment to ensuring a competitive and transparent procurement process. The agency is planning to release a draft request for proposals in the second quarter of fiscal year 2022, followed by a final request for proposals in the fourth quarter of the same year. The contract awards are expected to be made in the first quarter of fiscal year 2023.
In addition to the timeline for SEWP VI, NASA has also announced changes to the SEWP program office. The agency has appointed Camille M. Nichols as the new SEWP program manager, replacing Joanne Woytek, who has retired after 25 years of service. Nichols brings extensive experience in federal contracting and procurement to her new role.
These changes to the SEWP program highlight NASA’s ongoing commitment to providing federal agencies with efficient and cost-effective procurement solutions for their IT needs. The agency’s new timeline for SEWP VI and the appointment of a new program manager demonstrate NASA’s dedication to ensuring a smooth transition to the next iteration of the contract.
